The Steering Committee values the diversity of the people and communities we serve and recognizes and respects human differences and similarities. Everyone serving on the Steering Committee, volunteering, participating as a Vendor, or partaking as a consumer should feel welcomed and respected. This commitment to diversity extends to all, including the groups protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code. We recognize that diversity can include a variety of other personal characteristics such as area of residence, thought and opinion, or socio-economic status. The Steering Committee will not tolerate harassment or disrespectful behaviour within committee or sub-committee meetings, during volunteer activities or during the operation of the Norland Farmers’ Market @ Ward Memorial Park itself. Any member of the Steering Committee has the authority of a Market Manager and may remove any person from any Market-related event who is behaving counter to our Vendor Code of Conduct, the Ontario Human Rights Code or the spirit of our Charter.
